Now what?

I am registered for classes. My test for CS3100 is over. I still have homework to do though. And lots of other stuff I want to get done. But what do I do next?

One of those things I want to get done is to submit some stuff for Metaphor. That'd be fun. But that won't happen for a bit yet. First I have to make sure that I get good enough grades to maintain my scholarship so I can get a piece of paper so I can get a good job so I can earn money so I can have basic necessities of life. Those are always handy.

Life.

A good thing to have.

More stuff later.

Hey Hey Hey

Good things that happened today:

I didn't fall asleep driving home this morning (very early).

I got a nap so I didn't die while marching.

We played a good last show for all the crowd.

There was an incredible sunset.

I finished studying for and took my test. (And I think I did well.)

I get to go with my sis to the Junction City Big Band Dance.

More later.

Recursion: adj. - having the quality of recursiveness

What a concert. Both bands did good and I personally did pretty good. Naturally having my lucky concert socks on helped. :) Strange. For someone whose idea of luck is very different from its traditional definition I sure do have a lot (2) of lucky items. Socks and a purple duck. And sometimes I tell people good luck. How odd.

thought of the day: Everything counts.

song of the day: Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks, by Mussorgsky or however you spell his name

I guess he might have problems spelling my name, so maybe it's ok.

favorite de-stressing thing of the day: remembering Taiwan (along with the lucky socks, I make it a point to always ensure my stage access is intact with my handy dandy Chia-I City International Band Festival stage pass) :) Cory thought he could get in with his Tinseltown name badge. Apparently it worked since he was there during the performance.

movie of the day: Donald's Adventures in Mathemagic Land and The Wonderful World of Color (If you haven't seen this one you are missing out. I must add it to my list of favorite movies of all time.)

amusing realization of the day: That for how often rain is symbolic of being sad in song and poetry that I sure do like rain and am seldom depressed by it. Usually quite the opposite, even and perhaps especially when the rain is a little cold and there is a bit of wind. I mention it because as I left the stick today it was coming down and I thought, "isn't this nice weather?" Call me off the wall, but that's just how it is.

class of the week: Bro. Kent's. What a great lesson today. I wish I had that class more often.

Looking forward to Turkey Trot-ing and an Incredible movie. And an exam for CS 3100 this weekend. Speaking of which, I should do some homework after checking for showtimes. Also looking forward to a very important appointment with the sandman. I only hope he doesn't want to begin negociations before I confer with my pillow for a minute. Steering wheels just don't provide good business advice.

TTFN

P.S. If you think all this is boring and/or pointless... you're probably right. And sometimes I wonder if some guy in Pakistan or North Dakota or somewhere like that reads this thing. That would be fun. If so, hey person! What's up? You can't really answer me, but I don't know if it's because this is one-way communication, or if you just don't exist. Uh. 'Kay now things are just getting out of hand. The end.

Aquarium of Solitude

I could seriously swim around for hours in that thing. And I probably would've if I didn't have Important Stuff to do. No wonder fish are generally so docile. In such an environment as that you can't really help but be relaxed. Of course, fish in a real glass world have the disadvantage that they can't really ever leave. Maybe that's why this one's so good.

If you think I'm being random or just rambling on about nothing that is related to reality, I suggest you try it out. You'll have to find it and there'll be no clues. It might be different for everyone, but everyone should have one.

Test this week. Concert for symphonic and marching bands tomorrow. Last football game of the year this Saturday. Just a few more weeks of school left. Entering the crucible.

That which does not destroy us, makes us stronger. At least that's the hope.

Peace

What fun

So I got to go to an RS&RB concert last Friday that was great. And the very next day was the Great Pumpkin Festival Party Extravaganza Get-together Social. Eating food has never been so entertaining. It's always fun to relax and play a few games, especially ones where you put gum on other people's walls or wear a clown hat. The paper phone collection is growing and I will probably put the thing in sheet protectors soon in a binder and bring it to all subsequent parties.

Time for some homework and stuff.

stuff of the day: see the Band Geeks blog

Peace
