Hmm...

I haven't posted here in a while. What does that say about me? Only that I eat PB&J sandwiches.

Washington, D.C. was great. Playing on the Kennedy Center stage was a bit surreal. The monuments and buildings and such were impressive. I was very tired during the trip and for several days after it. I'm currently sitting here uploading my videoblog avi's from the trip. I'll post a link somewhere sometime.

And speaking of music, I had the opportunity to see and participate in some great musical performances recently: Concerto Night, Sarah's piano recital, and the Institute's Spring Variety Show. Great stuff, those.

Well, school is wrapping up for the semester. And for me it's wrapping up altogether, at least for a while, I think. I've applied for a full-time position programming for FM here on campus and I'll be applying soon for a programmer position down at L3 where Jill, Ferg, and Alan work. And I'll likely apply at a buncha other places as well.

One of the guys who works here on campus just told me that Union Pacific makes $1 million a minute and that if a train derails that it's more cost effective for them to take all train cars that can't immediately move and bury them alongside the track, post a guard, and then have an excavation company come by later and dig the stuff up and salvage it rather than to try to get the train back on the track and running. And a train full of new cars and other cargo has got to be expensive to derail. Fascinating.

Ok, more later.
