Looks like the Canon Powershot A70 is a good digicam to pick up for the trip. It comes highly recommended for the price range and being a 3MP cam. Ebay looks like around $200. Stores online for about $300.

Turn about is fair play.
That's what I thought as Cory's fist connected with my face. After all, I had whacked him on the head with a sword. I guess we'll see just how much damage can actually occur on Thursday when we throw this thing for real down in Cedar City.
As far as the event of the past few days go, things have been quite relaxing now that school is out. I should have my A.S. in Computer Science by the end of this summer. On Friday and Saturday we had our father/son overnighter. A whopping 8 people attended - a record low. Partly it was due to the sky threatening rain, which threat it ended up making good on. It wasn't a problem, though. Since there were so few people, we all just sacked out under the bowery with the exception of those that elected to sleep in their cars, and my dad, who slept under the stars until rain fell on his face. S'moores, ham, roast, veggies, special sauce, A&W, parmesean garlic bread, and corn chips were the fare of the evening. Gotta love camping. And pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, OJ, and milk for breakfast. Good times, good times. Still, it was too bad that not more people showed up. I was especially hoping that my German-fluent friend would come so I could practice what I've learned and increase my vocabulary.
As for the Taiwan CD, there are going to be two different versions: a single disk that will contain the basic slideshow and nothing else in a slim jewel case, and a special two-disk set that will have liner notes, a directors commentary/comedy, wallpapers, the basic slideshow, a sneak preview of the (probably never to be produced) Reno slideshow, easter eggs, and select .jpg pictures from the slideshows. I will probably just charge people the price of materials for both CDs. I must say that I really am excited about the new features of ProShow Gold v.2. There are slide animations as well as an increased arsenal of transitions, some of which look real fun. Right now I'm still trying to get the rest of Mrs. Koster's recently scanned pictures into the current show before I start playing with the timing and transitions. The plan is to have the soundtrack be songs from our return concert CD. So far I have nearly 700MB of pictures in .jpg format. Needless to say not all of these will be included in the show(s). There are quite a few duplicates, and also quite a few that are just sort of random, or didn't turn out well (for example, the ones taken indoors with my $10 dollar camera). But some of the near duplicates also come in handy. So many people took pictures of the same thing that some shots I can put in order and it ends up being almost a walk-through reenactment of the trip, in places. Fun stuff. Hopefully the finished product will not only be entertaining, but be something for everyone to remember the trip by, since it was such a blast.
Well, digits. That's another word for fingers and/or toes. It means 4 digits to my bank account [woo who] which hasn't happened for the longest time (too bad most of that will soon go to pay for the trip... or too good). It also spells disquiet amongst the bees. They are definitely in a state of unrest and disunity. They appear leaderless and seem to be wandering around, anxious and aimless. I only hope I can help them out. King Ben, I guess you're maybe the only one who knows where I'm coming from on this one. I must here refer the reader to my post on the geeks blog with the first-aid link [Friday, April 9]. Enough said.
My sister graduated from seminary yesterday and will be attending WSU next semester with me. Whoa. Next semester. What mysterious things does that contain? Who will know.
Yesterday I read some very interesting chapters of PPP's autobiography. Well, it's getting late and I should hit the hay. I'm looking very much forward to the Hof trip.
Peace

So.... I like the soundtrack from the movie The Legend of Bagger Vance.
Just thought I'd mention that.
